Tony Bianco ‘Julia’ Heels Review

Julia is like the ultimate office shoe this season.
It offers beautiful styling, a comfortable height and elegant versatility.
It’s the perfect shoe to take from day to night.

Julia is available in 3 different colour combos. Above is the Coyote Kid Suede/Gold.
Also available is Black Kid Suede/Black and Black Kid Suede/Gold.
I personally love the Coyote Kid Suede colour, with the black/gold coming in at second.
I love the sculpted gold heel on the shoes, it gives such a nice touch to an otherwise simple pair of shoes. Like a piece of art !

The heel height is 12cms, which is perfect for all-day wear, so if you’ve got them on at work, just switch your blouse, change your earrings, and you’re off !

The front is a rounded closed toe, so your toes won’t be suffering one bit.

Wear them with any outfit, but team them with gold jewellery, careful not to overdo it though.

Julia retails for $189.95, which I think is a smidge high considering the only thing hiking up the price is that gold heel, other than, they’re pretty plain.
But I guess that’s the price you have to pay if you want them !

To ease the blow, become a member of Tony Bianco’s loyalty program and that’ll save you some money, plus they always offer free postage too.

You can also find these at The Iconic, Wanted Shoes and Styletread.

Tony Bianco ‘Twain’ Heels Review

Published March 28, 2013 by heelsandbags

20130328-112914.jpg

I really like Twain by Tony Bianco.
They’re a nice blend of modern metallics and elegant pointy toe pumps.

Pictured above is the Silver Shine colour, with Nero Satin.
Twain is also available in Patent Black, Gunmetal Shine and Coyote Kid Suede, which are all pictures below.

The heel height on these is 11cms, which is perfect for a pair of pointy toe pumps. Great for wearing all day long, and these are great for work or play.

The satin collar adds a bit of a unique flair to these heels, and makes stand out from other similar pairs.

Shine leather is a smooth and soft leather which is very comfortable to wear.

Twain is currently retailing for $149.95, and I think that is a fabulous price for such a pretty pair of pumps.
What I love most about these heels is that you can wear them with just about anything, whether its conservative or on trend.

My favourite colour ? The gunmetal shine. I’m thinking a punk rock chic look, teamed with skinny jeans, studs and hot pink lipstick, with a cool top and funky jewellery !

I’m quite sure The Iconic and Styletread will stock Twain too, and Wanted Shoes aswell.

All of the above stores offer free shipping except for Wanted.
Buy them from Tony Bianco and if you’re a member of their loyalty program, you’ll get a discount too !

Oroton ‘Malu’ Mesh Small Tote Review

I am loving this Oroton bag at the moment.
This is the Malu Mesh Small Tote by Oroton, pictured above in the tan/gold colour.
Also available is black/gunmetal, which is pictures below.

I cannot stress enough how perfect this bag is.
The oily pebble grain leather is so soft and supple to the touch, it smells and feels amazing.
And the mesh just adds that perfect touch of glamour and sophistication.

On either side of the bag are the metal handles, which has a lovely engraved pattern on them, and are screwed in. The tiny details on this bag are just beautiful !
You can carry the bag with these handles, or it also has a detachable metal chain, which is thick and chunky & basically just looks expensive !
This is the way I prefer to carry mine.
When you use the chain strap, the bag sits on your shoulder and the length is perfect. It sits at the perfect shoulder bag length, exactly halfway between the shoulder and the waist.

Though it is quite comfortable, it does tend to get a little heavy if you’ve filled it though, and eventually that metal chain will start to dig into your shoulder.

On the outside back of the bag is an average size zip compartment, which is quite handy.

Inside, the bag is split into 2 completely separately sections.
The front section is roomy, and has 2 small pockets on the front wall.
The second back section is a bit bigger than the front section and has another
zip compartment on the back wall.

The front flap does up with a magnetic snap closure.

The bag measures 27Wx29Hx7D.
I think this is the perfect size, because you can fit all your essentials, plus alot more, but it’s still just big enough to be a medium size bag.

The Malu Mesh bag retails on the Oroton website for $595, but you may find it on sale.
They are rare to come across on eBay, but if you find one, expect to pay between $300-350.

The Malu Mesh bag is also available in a non-mesh version. Called just the Malu Small Tote, Oroton has it available in python leather too !

Tony Bianco ‘Lexia’ Heels Review

Published March 27, 2013 by heelsandbags

20130327-175921.jpg

Here is Lexia by Tony Bianco.
In Black Turin, which is a smooth semi-matte leather, this classic pair of pumps looks simple…until you turn around !

The heel is encrusted in small gunmetal coloured jewels and looks stunning !
Handle this part with care, they can be a tad sharp.
The heel height is 14.5cms, which is high, but with the hidden platform, shouldn’t be too hard to navigate in.

I would break them in a little first though, before wearing them for a whole day out.

The front features a closed, almond shape toe with a hidden platform.

Lexia currently only comes in the black colour and retails for $219.95, which I personally think is a little steep for a pair of simple black heels that have some crystals stuck on the back.
That said, I do totally love them though, and will probably buy them anyways, but it’ll hurt my purse a little more than usual..

Tony Bianco does offer free shipping on anything & everything though, and they have a great loyalty program. For more info on that, see my other post about it in more detail. You can get up to 10% off your order, which’ll bring these sweet babies down to $200.

Overall, Lexia is one hot shoe. It’s classic and timeless, it’ll match everything and will last many seasons to come, but for that price, can you find better ? Hmmm….

Tony Bianco ‘Averty’ Boots Review

Published March 27, 2013 by heelsandbags

20130327-130941.jpg

These are my favourite boots for this coming Winter.
Averty by Tony Bianco, pictured above in the White Chicago Combo. They’re also available in Black Chicago Combo.

These stunning boots remind me of 80’s chic meets 2013 minimalistic modern style.

They are a stunning pointy toe boots with a mild 11.5cm heel, so they’ll be very comfortable.

Team these with a hot pair of skinny jeans or leggings and a jacket or knit and you are set !
I personally will be buying the white colour, which looks amazing with the contrasting black suede heel.
These are definitely my next buy.

Tony Bianco have just released these babies at $199.95 and all sizes are available in both colours.

Don’t forget, you’ll get free postage and if you’re a member of their loyalty program, you’ll also get a little discount.

When I first saw this collection, I was completely won over. Not only are the colours so pretty, but they’re also great for Summer & Winter. Add the super cute special packaging and the limited edition status, and I’ve got me a winner here !

Now, I have managed to accumulate most of the collection, so I can tell you, yes, each piece is lovelier than the next, but my standout favourite would have to be the Veronica eye quad. That’s the one with all the gorgeous purple shades.
The colours in it are simply beautiful, and they’re quite opaque too, a little definitely goes a long way, but what I love most is the seasonal versatility. These purples are great for the coming Winter too, considering all the deep jewel tones we’ll be wearing.
And purple not only can come up sugary sweet, but seductively sexy too. Blacken the colours and its a hot smoky eye. Lighten them, for some Summer pop !

So I’ll give you a quick rundown of all the product names, then I’ll let you know what I thought of them, and most importantly, where to get them at the lowest possible price.

Lipsticks, left to right:
Oh Oh Oh, Betty Bright and Girl Next Door
Boyfriend Stealer, Daddy’s Little Girl and Ronnie Red

Lipglasses, left to right:
Kiss & Don’t Tell, Summer Sweetheart and Stay Sweet
Feelin’ So Good, Mall Madness and Strawberry Malt

Pearlmatte Face Powder:
Flatter Me and Veronica’s Blush

Pigments:
Lucky In Love and Cheers My Dear
Magic Spells and Black Poodle

Pearlglide Instense Eyeliner:
Black Swan, Petrol Blue, Designer Purple and Lord It Up

Nail Lacquers:
Comic Cute and Pep Pep Pep
Past Curfew and Double Trouble

Coin Zip Purse

Limited Edition Brush Kit in Tin

Eyeshadow Palettes:
Caramel Sundae and Spoiled Rich

Powder Blushes:
Cream Soda and Prom Princess

There’s also a limited edition tote bag and an adorable makeup bag that is part of this collection.

Now I must say, the overall quality of the lipsticks is excellent. They aren’t at all drying or flaky and hold pretty well.
The colour pay-off is quite good on all of them.

As for the powders, I prefer using the Pearlmatte Face Powders as a blush, and I went with Veronica’s Blush, which is the pink-toned one. It’s gives a nice natural flush to the cheeks and a decent amount of highlight, so I prefer that to the regular blushes.

The Pearlglide eyeliners are awesome. They have a strong colour pay-off and are really soft. These are really good liners but be careful in hot weather, as they are soft so they may smudge a little.

As for the lipglasses, though they are lovely, beware the pale, creamy colours as these are the ones that tend to settle into lip lines, more so when you put your lips together.

Overall, this is a gorgeous collection and the colours are beautiful.

Now… Where to get it and how much. The MAC Australia site is not only super expensive for us Aussies, but it’s also almost sold out, so in this case, I would recommend buying off eBay. Make sure you buy off a reputable seller though. Someone with good feedback.

You’ll be able to pickup the lipsticks, lipglasses, eyeliners and nail lacquers for about $30 each. The eye palettes for roughly $50-60 each and the powders and blushes for about $40-55 each.
More than likely, your items will be sent from the USA, which is ok.

Enjoy !

MARCH 2013 MONTHLY

Published March 26, 2013 by heelsandbags

Hello Autumn/Winter Collections !

I am loving Tony Bianco’s new collection, as we see gorgeous boots, super high classic pumps and lots of deep jewel tones and metal embellishments.

The pair that I have my eye on at the moment ?
Easy.
The ‘Averty’ ankle boot in the White Chicago Combo colour.
To me, this ankle boots screams sexy, what with the pointy toe, the bandaged leather look and black/white leather colour combo.
Keep an eye out for the post dedicated to these boots coming up soon.

We see heel heights sky rocket up to 16cms, with the average regular height being at about 14cms.
All the rage is either the almond toe shape or the pointed toe.

Overall, the look is classic, but sexy. Timeless & versatile. They are shoes that will last a few more seasons, not just 2013. Every piece is an investment, but remember your most wearable colours.
If you’re going to invest in only one or two pairs this season, stick to black or beige if you want versatility.
Or maybe go for a deep scarlet red and match it to your lipstick for beautiful elegance.

With prices ranging from about $160 to $220 for heels and up to $300 for boots, choose wisely, though just choosing one may be quite a task !

And don’t forget, get a cheaper price every time you buy from Tony Bianco when you join their loyalty program. Even on sale stock !
And they’ll ship every single order for free. Even if its just a $5 buy !
Gotta love that !

Wanna looks elsewhere ?
Also check out Wanted Shoes, Styletread and The Iconic.
eBay will be cheaper, but they won’t have the latest styles, but you will find previous collections for less than half price.

Winter, here we come !

Tony Bianco ‘Equador’ Clutch Review

Published March 26, 2013 by heelsandbags

20130326-235526.jpg

This is Equador by Tony Bianco.
Pictured above in Grey, it also comes in Black, which is the one I purchased.

Equador is a hard clutch and is studded on both sides. It comes with a detachable silver tones chain, which is very handy.
When worn with the chain, it sits at about waist length.

There is a detachable tassel feature on the side too. I prefer mine taken off, but it has the same keychain clasp as most other bag charms, so why not use it on another bag ? Or your keyring ?

Overall, the size isn’t bad. It’s small, but not tiny. The official measurements are 18x13x6cms.
In other words: iPhone, keys, some cards and a lipstick. That’s it.

Ok, now price.
It originally was $79.95 on the Tony Bianco site, but it’s currently on sale for $40, so 50% off !
And if you’re a member of their loyalty club, you’ll also get further discounts off that sale price too.
And take advantage of their free postage, anywhere, no minimum spend.

It’s pretty quick too. Usually, I get most items delivered within 3 days from the time I click ‘Submit’.

So to summarise, it’s cute, on trend with this coming Winter’s leather trend and it’ll go with pretty much everything. Get classic black or new and softer grey.
